Somerset, England – May 16, 2022, 8:44 PM local time, cameras belonging to the FRIPON netork detected a meteor fireball heading northwest over the English Channel, and ending over the county of Somerset, in southern England. The fireball was relatively small and travelling very fast, so it is unlikely that any sizeable meteorites reached the ground.
Preliminary analysis of the FRIPON data indicates that entry mass was aroung 1 kilogram, but less than 60 grams survived atmospheric ablation. If you would like to search for meteorites from this event, they would likely be located near Glastonbury.
